Disability Insurance 101 – Definition of Insanity

Hey everybody. It’s Kraig Strom with, Disability Insurance 101, a little—just a quick little video today. Actually, I will title this, “The Definition of Insanity: Reasons to Buy Disability Insurance.” So, what’s the definition of insanity? Of course you do something you know is wrong and you do it again anyway. Even though you know it’s wrong, you keep doing the same thing over and over again.

So, here’s my living example today. So, that was number one. So stupid just jam myself in the finger with the screwdriver and just moments later I thought, “Well, I can figure this out. I will go ahead and I’ll just hold it a little tighter,” and that was the next one, jamming myself directly into the knuckle. Yeah, pretty darn good.

No, I know—I know there’s those of you out there watching the video thinking, “No, that’s not a cut. I’ll show you a cut.” Trust me, I’ve had plenty of stitches, staples, concussions. I can go head-to-head with most—that’s a good pun.  Head-to-head with most.

So, definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again even though you’re thinking that you’re going to get a different result. And one of the best ways to avoid getting disabled is if you have a close call—you’ve got a close call. Something happens and you lucked out, you survived without some life-altering injury or worse, death.  Maybe think twice about doing that same thing again. Maybe evaluate it a little more carefully before you jump back on that motorcycle or strap back on that bungee cord or whatever it is that you ended up getting in trouble with. So, Kraig Strom;, Definition of Insanity. Love it, got to go, see if I need some quality band aids, get some surgery. Trauma.

I’ll see you again.
